Welcome to TLDC

The Teachers’ Language Development Centre has been set up by NIE to help enhance the standard of English language use among student teachers at NIE.

TLDC organises the LEADS modules in the pre-service curricula, namely, Communication Skills for Teachers, English for Academic and Professional Purposes and Academic Discourse Skills.

TLDC also runs courses leading to the award of CELS (Certificate in English Language Studies) for student teachers of English in the DipEd and BA/BSc (Primary) programmes.
