Course Description

Portfolios is the answer to authentic, ongoing, interpretative assessment of student learning. Driven by instruction, it showcases individual student's interest/s and development in various subject areas and allows teachers to provide formative and summative evaluation. It holds the key to looking at students' multiple intelligences, allowing for constructive feedback that enables teachers to harness students' learning assets and remedy liabilities of an on-going basis without the stress of examinations. The sessions will take teachers through the organizational aspects of Portfolio assessment, help schools develop and pilot portfolios as part of their in-school assessment process and showcase sample portfolios.
