Course Description

A short course to guide teachers on the interpretation and characteristics of various text types using Michael Halliday's functional grammar. A range of text types as prescribed in the English Language Syllabus will be used and analysed to illustrate how language performs various functions. The course will also explore the use and teaching of functional grammar in the classroom.
